Profiles
David ScottStarted working for an estate agency in his teens as a photo-copier and by the age of 22 became one of the most successful group managers for a large national firm. Became disillusioned with corporate/target-driven mentality and founded Scotts in 1993 from a telephone in his living room.
A self confessed workaholic, his other interest outside business is sailing. A former member of the England Youth Squad. Becoming a World Champion in 2002 called time on a racing career spanning 20 years and most continents. Nowadays he rarely races and is involved with teaching disabled people to sail.
Elaine PlumbOften mistaken for a young Lulu, a rare combination of charm and personality makes Elaine the person clients want to talk to. Elaine joined Scotts in 2003 and was formerly a qualified phlebotomist (this means that Elaine can sell you a house or take a blood sample). Elaine has moved house many times and consequently is very aware of potential frustrations.
A qualified scuba diver and spends much of her spare time underwater.
Carole GardnerDespite her youthful appearance, Carole is one of Leicestershire's most experienced negotiators. Working for a prominent Leicester firm in the 1980's, Carole joined Scotts in 1996.
A regular blood donor (we're surprised she has any left), Carole spends the rest of her spare time admiring her classic Mini Cooper (once driven on two wheels by Russ Swift) and trying to play the saxophone.
Maxwell ScottCame to Leicester in the late 1950's to become a partner (later a senior partner) in J. Jarrom & Son, one of Leicestershire's most prolific firms in the 1960's and 70's. He started his own practice in the late 1970's. A legendary auctioneer, much of Leicestershire has been under his hammer in years gone by. He offered his services to his son David when Scotts opened and is now a respected and popular consultant to Scotts.
